EVENT SUPPORT
PARAMEDICS, EMT'S, nurses and doctors
Symons offers basic life support (BLS) with EMTs or advanced life support (ALS) with paramedics, nurses and/or physicians.
Although basic EMTs are the backbone of any emergency medical services system, higher level caregivers are typically recommended for many interfacility ambulance transfers, any critical care transport (CCT) ambulances, any air ambulances or when providing care for higher risk events such as motorsports, rodeos, and large concerts. Our basic EMTs are trained not only to provide great basic first aid but they have automated external defibrillators (AEDs) available and are trained in how best to access the local emergency medical system for the rare instances that something more serious occurs requiring a higher level of care.
Symons offers specially trained emergency and critical care transport nurses that can provide a much broader scope of care than EMT's and/or paramedics.
Finally, Symons also has a large pool of physicians available when only the highest level of caregiver will do. Symons has numerous board certified emergency physicians with prehospital expertise that can assist with your ambulance and/or event needs throughout the Western United States. Symons also has the following specialties available as needed: ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, pediatricians, internists, plastic surgeons, etc. Doctors are utilized typically during extremely high risk events, on the air ambulances and during international repatriation trips.
mini emergency response vehicles (MERVs)
Symons has a variety of "mini ambulances" available for your events that may require the transporting of patients from difficult to access areas to first aid stations and/or ambulances.

High risk events such as motorsports frequently requires personnel highly trained in Fire suppression, rescue and extrication. Symons Event Safety offers highly trained professionals capable of fire suppression, rescue and extrication in the unique motorsports environment. All fire safety personnel are compliant with the 2009 NFPA 610 standards for Safety at Motorsports Venues. Our fire safety personnel receive additional training in the unique aspects of providing services during live television broadcasts with their inherent time challenges. They also receive specialized training in how to deal with various head and neck restraint systems and other unique aspects of motorsports safety.
