On December 10, 2009 Symons Ambulance officially became permitted to start providing BLS and CCT ambulance services throughout San Diego County. Symons Ambulance is proud to now offer ambulance services all the way from the Mexican border to Bishop, CA. Symons ambulance is now the only ambulance company permitted to provide services in San Diego County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Inyo & Mono Counties!

 

Symons Completes Merger of Symons Ambulance with Symons Event Safety and Life Savers Ambulance - 12/1/09 

Life Savers ambulanceOn December 1, 2009 Symons Ambulance announced their merger with Symons Event Safety and Life Savers Ambulance. According to Judd Symons, this merger will "allow the combined company to leverage the expertise of each company and provide some economies of scale that would otherwise be impossible." Pictured is one of the last Life Savers Ambulances driving down the highway on its way to the sign shop to become a "Symons" ambulance. Symons Ambulance will now have divisions for the following: 9-1-1, Interfacility/CCT, Event and Air Ambulances.

 

Symons Ambulance and Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Support Racing for the Cure - 10/10/09Powder Puff Race

On October 10, 2009 Symons Ambulance was proud to sponsor the Woman of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORS) in the fight for the cure for breast cancer during the 2009 4th Annual MORE Powder Puff Race for the Cure! The race is an all female off road race in the desert near Barstow, CA put on by the great people at MORE (Mojave Off Road Enthusiasts). San Bernardino Sheriff's Mud Run Switches to Symons Ambulances

Dr. Rubin at Mud Run 2009On September 12 over 3,000 athletes entered one of the largest Mud Runs in the United States at the San Bernardino Sheriff's Academy. Pictured to the right is Dr. Aaron Rubin, the Director of Sports Medicine for Kaiser and a leader in sports medicine nationwide. Dr. Rubin is demonstrating the outside baths he created for cooling down patients emergently with heat stroke. Dr. Rubin is also the Vice Commander of the countys Medical Reserve Corps and has worked with Symons at many events for many years. Lucas Oil Off Road Series and Symons Fire Safety TruckLucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Chooses Symons for National Series

Symons has agreed to provide the fire/safety services at all Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series events for 2009. The Fire/Safety Coordinator, Al Rapoza, will be overseeing all safety operations and will be travelling to all the events in California, Nevada and Arizona. Symons will also be providing emergency medical services and ambulances for the events in Nevada and Calfornia. All race events are televised either on Speed or NBC. The season finale on November 14 and 15 will air across the nation live on NBC...a first for off-roaSymons MERV at Lucas Oild racing! Symons will also be covering all the events for the 2010 season as the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series expands into other states. Symons Announces Start of Interfacility and Critical Care Transport Program in Riverside County

CCT ProgramLife Savers Emergency Medical Services DBA Symons announced that it is now licensed for BLS and Interfacility/Critical Care Transport in Riverside County. Symons has started soliciting business in Riverside County and welcomes any calls from possible clients including hospitals, nursing homes and medical groups. Symons is starting off with three dedicated ambulances for this new line of business and hopes to expand in the future. Holly Kendall, EMT-P has been named the new Operations Manager for the Interfacility and Critical Care Transport Division. Symons Collaborates with San Antonio Community Hospital at First Reign Game.

CBBASACHReignFirstGame250On October 25 Symons Event Safety collaborated for the first time with San Antonio Community Hospital to provide first aid services at the new Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.  The Ontario Reign won their inaugural season opener outscoring the Wranglers 4-1 in front of a crowd of 8,832.  Pictured here are Luke Musci, EMT and Kelley Piper, RN as they support the first ever hockey game at the new state-of-the-art arena.

 

Symons Event Safety supports grand opening of new Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

CBBALakersGames250On October 25 Symons Event Safety started providing on-site first aid medical and ambulance services for the new $150 million arena in Ontario, CA as it opened with the Los Angeles Lakers. The new Citizens Business Bank Arena is a 11,000 seat multi-purpose arena owned by the city of Ontario and operated by AEG Worldwide which also operates Staples Center in Los Angeles. Other upcoming events at the new arena include Carrie Underwood playing the first concert on November 9 and Metallica on December 12, 2008.

 

torrnewspicb Symons on Totally Off Road Radio  Symons Event Safety recently participated with Totally Off Road Radio (TORR) in a special live broadcast related to safety in off-road motorsports.  Symons' General Manager, Al Duke, and Medical Director, Jeff Grange, MD, discussed recent incidents in SCORE, CORR and other off-road organizations.  They also reviewed some of the recent research and discussed what to do if a lay person comes across the scene of a significant off-road accident.
